If niether mono or poly is acceptable, than how do you count entities?I think you mean "Deities"........In any event, do you feel that you need to catalogue each and every cell in your body? When examining the Universe, do you seek to count each and every star, planet, etc? Or just admire the entire thing for its vastness?
Do you look, at all times, at the parts instead of the whole?
The problem that I'm trying to convey, is that the whole "MONO vs POLY" conundrum is a product of the faulty left-mind, that tells us that a thing (up to and including GOD) cannot exsist, unless it is quantifiably distinctive from any and all other things.
One of the things that METU NETER teaches (and HINDUISM as well, along with the many other related systems) is to not get caught up in limiting the wholeness of the DIVINE (NEBERTCHER, BRAHMAN, etc) to any given NETERU or AVATAR that is being acknowledged at that given time.
AUSAR is GOD, but AUSAR is not all that GOD is.
KIRSHNA is GOD, but KIRSHNA is not all that GOD is.
Do you place all of your sentience within your Pinky?
What it is about gods that completely negates mathematics?
The lack of understanding regarding both.
The issue of confusion comes from the fact that we in our limited spiritual intellect begin to lose sight of who and what GOD is, when we seek to move Him/Her mathematically beyond the ZERO (0).
We had a conversation before on the old CRADLE, about how mathematics applies to existence, both linnear and ethereal.
The fact that WU-TANG is 9 is not by coincidence. GOD purposefully manifests Him/Herself through Mathematics.
It is only those with a limited and/or faulty understanding that miss this level of enlightenment; those who don't understand the Math miss GOD's presence within it, and those who don't understand GOD miss ways in which He/She mathematically manifests His/Her Self.
