I just viewed this film last night, as it was just opening in theaters..... At the suggestion of my brother SAMM (BLIND), this was probably the 2nd best film to come out this year. Not so much scary as disturbing, this pyscho-thriller takes the movie "SEVEN" to the next level. I will not begin to discuss this film (to do so would ruin the whole point of seeing it, not that I tend to devulge much info about movies anyways), but I will say that the beauty about this film is, it's not over until it's TRULY over..... Meaning, don't think that just because "key" players in the film have been "x-posed", that you are reaching a resolution. A resolution is NOT reached until the VERY END of the film, just before the end credits roll. This film shows the true deviousness of the human character, and that no matter how smart you THINK you are, there is always someone just a little bit smarter. Anyways, I'm looking 4-ward to other critiques on the film. PEACE

SAW was a great film in my opinion, it was clever -and- shocking which is somewhat rare with horror films. I can't say much without spoiling it, but I wasn't expecting the twist at all. The fact that the jigsaw killer was so intelligent and quick-thinking added to the shock-factor. It kind of reminded me of an adapted Crimson Room, a game where you have to solve puzzles to escape a room you are in for some unknown reason. Check it out: www.ebaumsworld.com/crimsonroom.html, it's very good. If you escape, try the Veridian Room - it's a lot harder! www.fasco-csc.com/works/viridian/index_e.phpPeace

The movie SAW was a great movie. Well worth the time of viewing especially if you are a fan of psychological thrillers.
I have come across a few people who did not like it as much as I did. They were expecting a horror movie. Though grotesque in many ways, horror it was not. I don't think much attention was paid to the advertising of the movie which clearly compared it to Silence of The Lambs and Seven, both of which were psychological thrillers.
I truly enjoyed the movie and I would see it again. ;D
