On the old CRADLE, I reported about 2 series of historical fiction written by author CHRISTIAN JACQ:

*The RAMSES series (5-part)

*The STONE OF LIGHT series (4-part)

This time, JACQ returns with a tale regarding the invasion of the HYKSOS into KEMET, in the form of a 3-part volume.....

I don't own these 2 books yet, but I will very soon. When I do, I will give a thorough review of them........I may also re-review the previous 2 series, for those that missed it.

I've read "For the Love of Philae" by Christian Jacq, which I thought was excellent. They have I think most of Christian Jacq's books about Kemet at my local library so I'm going to start getting into them real soon.

Would you recommend the Ramesses series or Stone of Light Series first? Indeed, I sure they're both great reads.

True indeed.......JACQ is an x-cellent writer, if you can get past his subtle attempts to "whiten" these AFRICAN characters. But then again, he's a FRENCH dude, so what do you x-pect?

The RAMSES series actually starts before the STONE series does......

However, the 2 stories correlate to each other.....Meaning, volume #1 of the STONE series takes place right around volume #3 of the RAMSES series.

They are all intertwined like that. I'm really wondering where/when this latest series will take place.....Most likely it will serve as a "prequel" of sorts, since the HYKSOS invasion took place before the RAMA-SUSEN dynasty.
