Peace, I know some of you practice this art, and I heard this movie was good. No computer animation, strictly skills in this movie. I have not watched it yet, but it came out a few days ago. Check the premise: When the head of Ong-Bak--the sacred Buddha of a poor village--is stolen, the population is plunged into misery. The Buddha was the focal point of an anniversary vigil believed to bring rain to the drought-stricken area. Young Ting is selected by the villagers to travel to Bangkok and rescue the relic in time for their ceremony. Ting has an affinity with the statue as he was left on the temple steps as a baby and raised by monks, who taught him muay thai, but forbade him to use it in combat. But now he is forced to delve into a seedy underworld and try to avoid temptation.-- YAHOO MOVIES Has anyone seen this? In Peace, I-Son

You are not ready for this movie. This shit will kick YOUR ass like you were on the screen. Its that badass. Saw it last year and its STILL the best kung fu movie I've seen since Drunken Master 2.

Maybe when I read SAM's review (which I know will be thorough) I can peep it from a different perspective. PEACE

I ordered the dvd online several months ago - it's a pretty nice movie but I havn't been compelled to watch it again since. I prefer the more old school kung fu movies I guess. The action scenes in the movie are definitely quite amazing though.

Can anyone name a kung fu movie since DM2 that was remotely as good? Hero, crouching tiger, and some of the other stylized movies have been good, but in terms of straight brawlers, this has been it.
