You don't have enough information to discern a main idea from The Invisibles yet. Volume 2 is more straightforward and lays the story out in terms of who's who and what's what. Well, not really, but relatively speaking. It basically contains another indtroductory cycle of sorts. Have you read the Fannie, Boy and Mr Six stories yet? Forgot what volume those are in. And have they met Harlequinade? What about Mr. Quimper and the Blind Chessmaster?
Anyways, I can't hook you up with the rest unfortunately. After suprnov died and with this firewall up, I dont follow torrents. Sorry.

Didn't know Boy's story was in Vol 1. I've forgotten, how many letters were in that alphabet?
Yep.

Ah, ok. Boy has ANOTHER story in there. Badass. Its one of the first hints at one of the main points of the series.

Ah, 64 letters. That was one of the craziest archs. 2 things stuck out there, the alphabet and the shadiness of those supposed invisibles.
As for the aphabet, its just wierd to think that there may be a system of communication so simple, so powerful, that it affects us immediately on an internal level. Shit we can't even conceive of, but that we already know of. And then to think that instead of understanding that it would simply break your mind upon recieving it?? Damn.
Then there were those invisibles. They didn't contact King Mob and discuss the issue, nor did they seek any alternative other than subversive behavior followed by direct conflict. Their mind control tactics got me to thinking about whether or not these people, accepting that they were not archons, were fundamentally different from archons. I have to say "no". Look at how the operate. Various systems of social controls, backed by extreme violence as opposed to the archons who used technological controls backed by extreme violence. While the Archons wish to suppress one mentally and sexually, the Invisibles clearly run to the OPPOSITE extreme, engaging in all types of foolishness, mentally, seuxally and otherwise. After all, Marque de Sade, of all people, is on the roster. So then you have to question the intent of the invisibles. If it weren't for the Archons, what would they be doing? I'd think that without that balancing act, they'd be actively destroying social systems at will.

Peace I was reading through a comicbook forum, and they had this Grant Morrison interview posted that looks fairly recent: suicidegirls.com/words/Grant+Morrison/Towards the end of the interview he gets into the Matrix controversy. Please excuse the questionable site it is on. PEACE
