I just saw this film last night, and I have to say that it's one of the better films to come out this year.
I found it to be a mix of 12 MONKEYS, MANCHURIAN CANDIDATE (the newer version), and MEMENTO, all wrapped into one.
I think this film does a very good job of capturing the concept of TEMPORAL MECHANICS, without over-sensationalizing it. It also handles the morality of if quite well, if not a bit idealistically.
I warn potential viewers though, not to go into this film looking for alot of sci-fi techno-talk, like many films that have dealt with this concept have done in the past. THE JACKET is lacking in all of that, but IMO that's what makes it good.
However, the best thing I believe it gives the viewer, is some greater insight into the minds of those that most of us would consider "insane".
