The star wars series deffinitly mimmicks on whats goin on today and politics within it.
lll drop some more things later because of time...but some examples relate to the Iraq invasion. The coming of the new world order.
Take a look at Darth Vader, wearing the German Nazi helmet, and the formation of the troops, and unifroms.

Recently saw ROTS and enjoyed it many times more than the first two episodes. Empire is still the best, IMO.
Heavym3ntal, I also thought about recent events like the travesty in Iraq when viewing.

I've always been a huge Star Wars fan, especially because of the high spiritual content. The Saga is like a "modern" day retelling of the Ausarian Resurrection or the story of Jesus, when taken in the right spiritual context.
