"Meet me in Montauk" Directed by Michel Gondry www.imdb.com/title/tt0338013/This is one of the best movies, I have seen in a long time. I highly recomend this movie. ***** Acting: A Dialogue and Narration: A+ Cinematography: A+ Music: A+ Color: A+ Jim Carrey, Kate Winslet, Elijah Wood The romantic aspect of the movie alone can stand on its own merit, blended with this highly intriguing adventure into the human memory and mind control and you have an excellent story in this film. The movie delves long into the depths of our memories. Memories long forgotten, or supressed. It is true that we conciously and sub-conciously surpress certain memories to the point of non existence unless you are reminded of them. This movie is about mind control by both self and others. The movie's several references to Montauk are a testament to the writers intention of the overall subject of the story. The existence of a little known group that erases memories for a fee, and inherently has immediate moral and ethical implications on various levels; such as personal benifit at the expense of others. We are best served if we do not supress certain memories, be they love or shame. It is important to remember the past as a guide in the future. I find this movie to be quite epiphanical as you find yourself delving into your own memories and making some common connections with things in the movie. I could go on and on about the film but I don't want to be a spoiler. Watch It! This movie would make a great subject for a paper. It is even better the second or third time around as you can piece things together more after the first viewing. One of my all time favorites. Peace

Dam, I've been wanting to catch this movie since they started showing it on cable. There's a few Jim Carey movies that have "secret society" written all over them. (Truman Show, Spotless Mind, and the one where a black God gives him, white man, power.)

In the Jim Carey movie, "A Series of Unfortunate Events, they show a pyramid/triangle with a eye symbol all throughout the movie.
