i think i enjoy the animatrix even more than the rest of the matrix movies
does anybody know of any collections of short films that is similar?
it is the only movie i have been watching over the past little while
'the second renaissance' parts 1 and 2 are off the hook
seems to portray the approach man has toward the planet right now so well

I can't think of any similar shorts, but I can think of a similar series. Have you seen Paranoia Agent? It follows an enigmatic criminal by the name of Shonen Bat (Lil Slugger in America. LOL) who beats and sometimes kills people with a golden baseball bat. Anyways, it becomes clear that something just isn't right about the kid as he maims and kills at will. I'll explain in a bit more detail below, but some basic plot points will be revealed. only minor spoilers though.
While the story starts off quite mundane, Shonen Bat soon becomes a god of sorts. He moves freely, maiming or killing all who need it and escapes the police through alternate realities. The detectives chase him, but can barely get through his maze of illusions, drawn into fantasy words themselves. All the while, an old man scribbles the truth in mathematics under their cars. So, throughout the series, the question is, "Who is shonen bat?" Is he a boy? A ghost? A demon? A hero? A villain? Does he even exist? Could he represent freedom, despite his murderous ways? Or is he reall that sinister? No one knows, and until the end of the series, you won't either. Watch it.

I believe the Matrix is based originaly on some or one anime movies, but regardless, one movie that is off the webb is
GHOST in the SHELL
It is awsome, because
It ends before the beggining.
And the better part about it is that it approaches our spiritual mysteries, from a sound mind, while rooting life in data, like that is purly artificial, which is plausible in the context of the movie, like it is in the matrix, because computerized creativieity is active in the creation of the world of the movie, so the characters of the movie have propriety in probing the inteligence of artificial technologicla mechinisms.
Of course from my heart blood, chi, mind, soul, I say smash all ccomputers, then help me kill the ones in my head, and dont allow techonogy to keep growing, as the shit is unnecicery, but
Its funny that in this movie, and AKIRA, another good Anime, it is said that humanity's mind light goes to the starrs and is great, but nations still fight through burocricies and shit. While it is true that 85 percent of us dont live in cycles of ancient proficies in congruence with some mind boggling cyphers, like Tamahu, and Sam 7, who are patiently awaiting 2050 something, it is funny to me that the people in these computerized advanced societies just happen to be still slaves to counting their history from the fake birth of chist on the fake Roman Calander counting system.
Another good ass Anime I just caught was Nikara, really good.
Its funny cause i just watched some anime, then i watched the blade trillogy, then i saw this anime Nikira, and it seemed to combine the vapire blade stuff with the anime machine wars stuff.
