If you haven't heard this magnificent JMT and Killah Priest track, get it. Amazing. And I can't stand Vinnie Paz. Anyways, I have a question that maybe someone here can answer. What does Paz mean stating the immotality of Amen-hotep? Is he more likely to mean Akhenatan, the name collectively, or a specific Amen-hotep? Or is it something else entirely. Im assuming he's ambiguous, but I may be missing out on a pertinent myth or whatever.

I actually love him. In addition to being an ill MC, he does the knowledge, and has a healthy respect for the ORIGINAL MAN's culture.
He also has great respect for WU-TANG (obviously), and only collabs with REAL MC's. And he works to bring back true HIP-HOP.
As for the PRIEST track, yeah it's ill.
I only vaguely recall the AMEN-HOTEP reference though, but based on your statements, I can say that ANKHENATEN is not the KING he was referring to.
During the AMEN-HOTEP dynasty, each succeeding SHEQHEM believed that the spirit of AMEN-HOTEP I inhabited their bodies, and thus preserving the reign of that linneage.
If ANKHENATEN had not broken the link with his foolishness, that would have been the longest dynasty in KEMET.
The only longer dynasty was the RAMASUSSEN dynasty.

Can't stand Paz. He tries, and sometimes succeeds as in this case, but I'm just not feeling him. Its rare that I find a conscious rapper of any affiliation representing hip hop that I'm not feeling, but so far he's one.
