PEACE
DESIRE is the man's equivalent of PRESSURE when speaking scientifically
since the topic is hot right now -
LUCIFER / JUSTICE / DEVIL applies pressure on you until you are small enough (UNATTACHED enough) to fit through the gates and get into heaven
this PRESSURE comes in the form of all of your DESIRES
at that point life becomes somewhat of a systematic stripping away of all these DESIRES
until either you acheive ENLIGHTENMENT
or you become a withered battered down (aka still BEAUTIFUL) old body incapable of handling the PRESSURE of DESIRE any longer
recall the Tao Te Ching PLEEEEEEEEEEEEEEASE (D.C. Lau translation)
this is 'important':
FROM THE FIRST CHAPTER NO LESS:
in speaking of THE WAY "Hence always rid yourself of desires in order to observe (the Way's) secrets; But always allow yourself to have desires in order to observe its manifestations."
the LIGHTHOUSE translation of this is:
"be in heaven but be in hell at the same time"
i originally was posting this in the field notes thread but i became long-winded
my apologies
PLEASE
ADD ON
PEACE
hope this helps understand The Way and the Tao Te Ching a little
we deal with some big shit here...
PEACE

To desire is to implement a reaction to a sensual stimulus, i.e. eating, drinking, urinating etc. To will is to follow the Divine. Indeed enlightenment and knowledge occurs in the absence of physical phenomenon. Only when we are devoid of all physical coercion can we truly cultivate our spiritual faculties.
Mine is:
Ascend above emotionality but... Will that which is divine.
Keep blessing us with the science.
In Peace,
I-Son

'ascend above emotionality'...? there must be simpler words i must say: i really enjoy the idea of willing that which is divine by 'physical coercion' do you mean pressure? because i may disagree with your last statement though not the most fertile of soil to cultivate enlightenment, it can still be sought in pressure situations it truly is a shame that it is so difficult to understand words when discussing certain topics... YET WE VENTURE FORTH PEACE TO YOU CIVIL you always bring the high-end food to the table

Peace LIGHT,
Allow me to explain self in greater detail as it seems dialectic constructs are impeding our build.
The pressure that you speak of I perceive as tension induced upon the energetic part of our being; this means the physical body and the spirit. Now, the focal expressions of the energetic parts of us are e-motions (energy in motion). Do we agree upon the consensus that essentially (this is important), our consciousness is still/at peace? This is referred to as Nirvana, Satori and so forth.
Now, because we are pressured to ‘return to the essence’, with this energetic tension-like induction upon the spirit, we desire as a way to relieve this tension. Not realzing that this craving comes from within, as an attempt to reunite the person with the Self/God/Divine. Therefore, we attempt to relieve this tension/pressure via materialistic possessions and gratifications of sensual urges (sex, food, drugs etc.). HOWEVER, we never seem to be able to relive this tension (even through the things I just mentioned) because to me to relive this tension is to focus consciousness at the level where tension/pressure is no longer existent (this is the essential, unmodified sate I was mentioning earlier).
Through pressure and physical impediment (struggle), we gain the evolutionary wisdom and spiritual power through the way we handle and approach the conditions. We become more wise (maybe not yet enlightened) as we do so.
NEVERTHELESS, true Wisdom and Enlightenment occurs when we cease our physical senses and all perceptions and gain insight from 'within'.
This is, mostly, Metu Neter science.
Add on, Lord. Let me know if this clarified my previous statements.
In Peace,
I-Son

Be in the world but not of it
To put what Civilisation just wrote ( I felt it too bro believe me) into one line: U cannot overcome desire with desire (the person with the person)
The only way to "achieve" peace is to be it
And peace= God's highest attribute therefore nothing less than a godly existence will do, this means a total break from the sensual part of yourself
Oneness
