The following precepts are taken from the book entitled “Egyptian Cosmology: The Absolute Harmony” by Moustafa Gadalla. Purportedly, these are Egyptian words of wisdom gathered from survived papyri. - Do not be arrogant because you are learned; do not be over-confident because you are well informed. Consult the ignorant man as well as the wise one.
- Don’t be proud of your own learning, but take counsel with all, for it is possible to learn from all.
- Speak not too much, for men are dead to the man of many words
- Do not overeat
- Don’t eat bread while another person is present unless you share the bread with him.
- He who is rich this year, may become a pauper next year
[/i] I like the one with the bread. I definitely see the merit of such action. Add on with your own selected Words of Wisdom. In Peace, I-Son

Knowledge without the wisdom to apply it is foolishness. Wisdom can only come after gnosis is gained, and the goal is Understanding.

The best-informed man is not necessarily the wisest. Indeed there is a danger that precisely in the multiplicity of his knowledge he will lose sight of what is essential.

'it is the business of the future to be dangerous' - al whitehead
'the poet, the artist, the sleuth - whoever sharpens our perception tends to be antisocial; rarely "well-adjusted", he cannot go along with currents and trends. a strange bond often exists among anti-social types in their power to see environments as they really are. this need to interface, to confront environments with a certain antisocial power, is manifest in the famous story, "the emporer's new clothes." "well-adjusted" courtiers, having vested interests, saw the emporer as beautifully appointed. the "antisocial" brat, unaccustomed to the old environment, clearly saw that the emporer "ain't got nothin' on." the new environment was clearly visible to him.' - marshall mcluhan
