There are four passages in the Bible that astonish me--five that blow my mind. These things make me wonder why preachers encourage people to read the Bible since they are so contrary to what is taught in Church. Yet those who most vehemently discredit the Bible quote from it regularly as if it were a guidebook for spiritual understanding. Given all the contradictions, mistranslations and outright lies in this book why can't we just throw it out the window?
Here are the five things I'm talking about
In Revelation 22:16 Jesus calls Himself the star of the morning (BTW Venus is the star of the morning) but in Isaiah 14:12 it speaks of the same star and calls his name Lucifer. . The Latin Vulgate also uses the word Lucifer in II Peter 1:19 and Job 11:17 when speaking of the morning star (Venus).
Why would Jesus associate himself with Venus and yet the Church would condemn such an association as idolatry? Why would He associate Himself with a word that means Lucifer yet the Church thinks of Satan when you say Lucifer?
The second thing is Isaiah 19:21-24 where we see that not only is Israel NOT God's only chosen people but they aren't even first in line. After asserting that God will bless Egypt verse 24 tells us that Israel will be third with Egypt and Assyria. THIRD WITH implies a kind of subordinate equality vis a vis the Trinity. Now run this by your local preacher and see if he doesn't run you out of his Church.
Third astonishing thing is found in Deuteronomy 32:43. The King James is the only version that omits the part where God commands the little g gods to worship Him. It is even in the Dead Sea Scrolls. I'm not ready to think that God has a bunch of imaginary friends. So if He acknowledges the existence of other gods why can't I?
The fourth thing y'all probably know about--the appearance of William Shakespeare's name in the 46th Psalm
the fifth thing is most damning of ail. It's in Jeremiah 8:8. The King James again is the only version that mistranslates the Hebrew word shakur to conceal its true meaning. What the verse says is that the false pen of the scribes has made the law a lie. Jesus, an Essene Jew said the same thing about them
John 8:44"You are of your father the devil and the lusts of your father you will do. He was a murderer from the beginning and abode not in the truth because there is no truth in him. When he speaks a lie he speaks of his own because he is a liar and the father of it."
When we go to the old Testament we see the Jews doing the lusts of their father. They came to Canaan but for to steal, to kill and to destroy (John 10:10). That is all they do. Then they move in and infuse their politics of genocide, Kemetic theology and white paganism into a his-story where God is commanding them to commit these atrocities.
How can anyone who really studies the by-Bill maintain the illussion except through the debilitating force of fear and guilt?
