This is what happens when couples don't communicate:
Confessions of a weary soul and a condemned heart.
To fall upon deaf ears and torn apart.
Wishing for things to be as good or better than they use to be.
Wasted on ears refusing to hear and eyes unwilling to see.
You speak of justice and standing correct and honorable.
Yet, your lack of answers to my questions have left me feeling cold naked and vulnerable.
Making me feel guilty, as if my affection were a sin.
Selfish in your responses, revealing bits and pieces every now and then.
No, the sin is you expecting me to hide my emotions.
Treat them as if there a thing of the past or some foolish, childish notion.
The shackles of love around my heart makes it hard for me to let it die.
Yet, it has become crystal clear to me to let Sleeping Dogs Lie.
