It's really good to see you on here, we have been trying to get ahold of you! Basically we want to bring this place back to life and in order to do that we need to make some modifications. Firstly we need the members LHX and Longevity to be sages/moderators here. We need to organize people in terms of who will be in charge of which sections after that is accomplished. We cannot make these changes out of Shah's account so we hope you can help us in regard to this issue. If so, we can start with this. All this is with Shah's consent already.

Good to be back brother. I had come thru here once in a while over the past few years but the place had slipped to silence.[has it been that long?] As far as changing members ranks on the boards... i dont have the ability to do that. When Shah and i had set this place up originally i insisted that HE hold the keys to the castle - as it was his vision. He was around during the days of the old Cradle. I, being the newbie to the group, thought it only right that i work 'beneath' him if you will. What i could do is assign moderators to each specific area of the board. But the powers assigned will be limited in comparison to that of a Sage [board admin]. There is always the option of starting from scratch again...  Its a task im sure nobody looks forward to... we would lose all the old posts but we would have a nice clean slate. Anybody have any ideas? Im down to do it all over again if thats whats decided. If you build it they will come right? Has anybody tried to contact Shah? |

Longevity and LHX have full moderative privileges now! We've put Longevity in charge of the musical sub-forums. Thx, I didn't realize Shyhiem was the main Administrator. I've been in touch with Shah and although busy he will soon contribute to this forum as he gave me the green light. I'm glad to see people are re-visiting no questions we can make this into the illest forum around with all the real folk up in here. Do you have any suggestions now that we have admin access? The THEO layout was cool but I switched it back to the default I think everybody is used to this one and it is the most easiest on the eyes. Thanks for stepping by, ready to re-build the castle? Ready to build, indeed.
The only suggestion i would make right now is that everybody get out there and spread the word. Introduce some new blood to the site and get the heart pumping once again. Mix the mortar... bring new bricks. Rebuild.

Longevity no doubt Sunn go right ahead with that it's a great idea! Everybody needs to get a notice seems like a lot of folk aren't aware yet of our presence here, all good. I'm gonna start advertising myself. Respect for all contributions, we're doing it!

Word. I got Allhiphop, Worldstar, thisis50 and SOHH. But we need to be on twitter, myspace, facebook, hiphopdx, hiphopgame, wutangcorp, kayne west university, okplayer and any place else that we can think of spreading the word about this site.

I just looked at the forum and saw that we don't have a section that deals with everyday living or the learning of new and/or asiatic traditions.
I feel that we should start a new section called "Culture". This should have Sports, Video Games, cars, home improvement....
Damn I can't lie I was going back and forth from this post to the main forum page to make my case right and exact but I got lost in the sauce a bit. I know what I'm visioning in my head it's just not come out well on e-paper right now.
But I was thinking that the section could focus on the international customs of our vast members and other things like head wrapping, hair locking, traveling, local life, etc.
You know a place in the forum where you can unwind and talk about whatever and act silly or what not. Where it's not all knowledge all the time or all study all the time.
If it is decided to go ahead with a culture section, I think it would only be right for Shah put it together since he came up with all the sections and sub sections we have now. That way it will follow in line with what we have already so it can flow better.

I like this idea, could be intersting as more members come back or more people join up and share these cultural expressions/customs. It would fit into the UNDERSTANDING forum along with our As Above So Below and Man, Woman, Child section. We have to wait for Shah and see what he says.
