Peace Cradle to the Grave!
I want to let everybody know we have full administrative access to this site and we can make any changes we wish now! What we've already changed with Shyhiem is his name to SAMURAI36 (upon his request) and we've made Longevity a new Sage/Moderator and if LHX didn't have all the administrative abilities now he does.
Now is the time for everybody to speak their mind. What needs to be added/changed in your opinion? To Longevity: I've created another thread in this forum in regards to the expansion of our media section as suggested by you. Get back to me in regards to that.
Now that all the technicalities are behind us we can start re-creating the environment in here. We have more and more people coming by each day we also want to advertise this forum to the people who would care to learn and constructively contribute so let anybody you think is eligible know!
Add on Cradle - LET'S BUILD!

WOW! That is what's really good right there. WELCOME BACK SHAH!!! Let's get this site poppin again.
LHX. Tell us what it is that you plan to do and what are your abilties in regards to your web development skills so we can have an ideal of what this site can be and what our limitations are.
We also need to email everyone in our members list to let them know that we are back and it's full steam a head.

hot tamales
i do html / css / javascript / php
my only limitation is time
can do hosting and etc as well if somebody purchases a domain name
i am also willing to shell out the $10 for the domain name if nobody else wants to
the only issue would be migrating the database to elsewhere and all the associated files

Peace X,
That's what's up. I don't mind paying for a domain or web space either. My short comings lay in not knowing what to do or how to do it in regards to starting it up. Also give your input on how you think the site should be laid out. Lastly, with time being you biggest limitation how long do you think it would take for you to get something together i.e. 1-3mons, 3-6mon, longer?

That's peace! X keep in mind my brother Filly can significantly help us with any graphic design and/or site maintenance. That would take a lot of burden away from you as well. This could be good! Thx for letting us know, your help is much appreciated ! Let us know. PZ

if we have a web designer, then we can have a site up within a month

Kid Sha can design for us I trust in his skill I have seen his work and am sure he can live up to this task, you, on the other hand, could put it all together, link it all up and do what you do best and all of us (the sages) will make sure we do what we can do to bring the fresh info in. I think we don't need more than 1-3 pages unless we want to go comprehensive. One main page which would portal you to all the other channels of our movement will suffice I think. The question now is, what exactly would you need from the designer to get it all poppin? We can break it down to exact measurements. Step by step we can get there. The digital world need us. PEACE

easy breezy 1. the site should be 960px wide 2. site should be designed on a grid (check this website for reference if necessary: http://960.gs) 3. make sure we are using web safe fonts (references: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Web-safe_fonts, www.3point7designs.com/blog/2008/05/08/8-fonts-you-probably-dont-use-in-css-but-should/)4. make sure there is room for potential advertisements (standard ad sizes can be found here: www.iab.net/iab_products_and_industry_services/1421/1443/1452)if you arent too familiar with designing for web - thats cool too i can put together a basic framework and then you can merk it with graphic design what i need by the end of it is a photoshop file - then we can talk about splicing it to put the site together - if youre familiar with doing that then cool if not, then i could do it or get somebody else to do it also: feel free to use flash if you want to add some motion or banners to elements on the page i will build the site with the following at least: 1. home page 2. about page 3. contact page 4. articles page we can expand it in any direction after that - as i said before: multimedia page, events page, philosophy page, etc etc

I do not see a problem with the list here, most of the points that you said i have dealt with before, I just never used this grid system, maybe you could break it down to me some more. I also have never worked with flash before, the way i built my web sites are real basic.
what i do is build my templet in photoshop cs2, i slice what i need to, add image roll over state to my buttons and have a big slice for my html/text. Just look at my websites and you will see what I am talking about:
www.thermosealmetalroofing.com www.qclean.ca www.wroofing.ca
I am sure with working with you on this project will enhance my web design skill by a long shot.
At the end of the day, I am sure i can hand that PSD file to you, i just dont understand this grid... lol
PEACE
