Allow me to speak on this...... ;D I must say that the current GRUDGE movie that is out in theaters presently, is one of the SICKEST movies to come out in AGES. As BLIND is alluding to, this present film is actually the spawn of a series of films from JAPAN, called "JU-ON". JU-ON: THE CURSE (volume #1) JU-ON: The CURSE (volume #2) JU-ON: THE GRUDGE (volume #3) JU-ON: The GRUDGE (volume #4) And of course, we have the present GRUDGE, which serves as part 5, though in actuality, is a retelling of the JU-ON story for American audiences. If you wish to see a bonafide horror flick, that will stick to your sub-conscious for days thereafter, this movie is indeed it. The direct of this film (as well as the JU-ON series proper) is also the director for THE RING movie as well. Trust me, you won't be disappointed.......And if you are, then there's seriously something wrong with your subconscious to begin with.

Peace,
Coincidentally, I was just looking this up with the intention of going to see it myself. I am glad it received such exalted reviews. Rest assured, I will do the knowledge within the near future.
In Peace,

Peace
I have been telling everyone I know to go see The Grudge. The suspense is unnerving and had me turning lights on at night in every room I would enter at home. The Grudge is one of the best horror films I have seen in a while.

Juon: The Grudge is one of the worst horror films I've ever seen. It was VERY good for a large amount of the movie, but by the end the narrative had disenegrated, too many characters had been introduced, and it lost it edge. I don't plan on seeing the remake.

eye just saw it today and overall eye thought it was good but...it left me a little confused: 1. whoever was getting banged around in the room towards the end(do not wanna give too much away) who and what the hail was happinning? 2. what was the connection between Bill Pullmans character and the wife? 3. Why was she obessed with him? 4. Why did he commit suicide? 5. what was the deal at the end?
just a few questons that is all also eye liked the Ring better but Grudge was scarier

PEACE NAKHI:
I'll attempt to answer your Q's without giving anything away:
The husband, and suicide.
Other than her stalking him, nothing.
See the previous answer.
He was x-posed to "THE GRUDGE", by going to the house.
You'll have to be more specific (without spoiling anything, that is).
Suffice it to say, "THE GRUDGE" continues.
Also, alot of your Q's will be answered by watching the previous movies in the series. Remember, you just watched what is technically part #5.

peace I saw this film last night...
The Grudge is by far the most frightening films I have seen probably because I was sitting right at the front! I can't understand how it was given a low rating (here it was rated 15 for 15 years old or over) After seeing the trailer I was convinced this would be an 18. It did have a good shock factor and just when you thought the horror had stopped, it kept coming and coming... Because of this it gave you a sense of discomfort all the way through, even during the (somewhat short) scenes where nothing bad was happening! I think this, coupled with the fact that it seemed so real and made usually safe situations appear to be completely unsafe (...remember in the BED anyone!?) made it a good film. Go see it if you dare.
