Recording the conversation from your computer isn't that hard. I have a program that can record any and all sound that comes from your computer. I can send it to any of you that need it. Or, once you get things worked out let me know where (ustream, skype, ect) and how (because I done know a thing about web broadcasting) and I can record it for us. LP&H I would like to have it. I would also like more insight, into setting up my home network. You guys seem quite knowledgeable about the tech stuff, so any insight you could share, would be greatly appreciated.

i would love to have a suggestion for such a program
a lot of hours were spent bumbling around trying to accomplish something that seemed straightforward
even went to circuit city to pick up some cables to try to use my synth as a mixer
unfortunately - audio is not my forte
we will figure it out eventually -

I'm just excited that we've come this far. We've got a good team here, and I'm confident that this will all manifest perfectly, given time. In the meantime, I would like for us to come up with an outline for topics that we would like to discuss on the webcast. By outline, I mean, the topics should be decided, and then all the pertinent questions should be presented to be asked and discussed. This should be well in advance, with several topical outlines already developed, so that the webcast can flow smoothly. I think we should dedicate threads to creating topics as well. Then, once the webcast happens, members can discuss the topic further in that thread, based on what they listened to in the webcast. Any and all thoughts are welcomed. HOTEPU

HOTEPU yeah - we are definitely on the cusp of something - from my perspective tho - i like the idea of having a new host on a weekly basis and allow the host to determine the direction their show will take - it would make for a good contrast in styles / approaches / discussion i think we can all trust each other enough to pull something reasonable together for my money - i liked the idea of having NO forewarning about the topic, while being fully prepared to keep things moving if they appeared to be getting side-tracked experimentation will see the birth of something fresh, im sure

we should have a test run before saturday - lets pick a popular topic "life after death", and build on that for 45 minutes on userplane - on userplane you can respond by video, audio, and texting - there is a thread at KTL and we can discuss the replies that the peoples over there are giving i don't know if this leaves room for a host - but we can all be admins also at userplane - so later on when this is on and poppin, we can regulate when necessary - sign up - so yall can be added as admins www.userplane.comsign up sign in www.userplane.com/directory/index.cfm?action=domain.home

This is dope people, real dope! I like this idea. Pardon my delayed response I was out of town for the weekend. Excellent idea and I think this could be very fruitful. It's also very original so much respect to anybody thinking! I'm gonna sign up, study and analyze all this and will try to be a part of our first program when it goes down. X and Sunny, let us all know how it goes with this. Peace n Respect

Not to say that we have to follow someone else's format, but if our goal is to get people to tune in and participate, then if you look at radio and even TV talk shows, the way they get listeners/viewers to tune in, is to announce what the topic will be ahead of time. It builds anticipation that way. Otherwise, it's just a chat session with a bunch of people, and that's only gonna keep people's interest for so long. Hell, it would only keep my interest for so long. I think that for what we are striving to create here to be successful, people will want to see the level of organization and stucture behind it.
