LHX is hosting
we need at least 2 people to participate
it'll be a 90 minute show that will be recorded and down loadable
there will be 5 discussion topics that will be announced on the day of the show
each participant will get at least 2 minutes to speak uninterrupted
holla in this thread if you feel where we are going with this and if you'll participate this saturday

How are we going to make this happen (I've never done this before) and what will the topic be? it will require some sort of mic device for the people who are on not fully sure yet which technique we will use, but there is a few options the topic is going to be a surprise - i think we should have a new host each week - and the host comes up with the topics and puts it out there for the panel |

Wow, I've been thinking about creating a webcast for the site, so this is right along the lines of this...
I'm in the process of setting up my home office, complete with a mic soon, so though I'll have to sit this one out, I do plan to participate in the future.

Perhaps you want to shorten the segment, in the beginning, until we get more participants. Otherwise, that's fine, to spark it off... Remember, this is our pilot session, to get it off the ground. Will the recorded session be somewhere that other members can have access to listen afterwards? I plan to have my office set up in the next couple of weeks. I'm sure people are looking forward to hearing my voice and thoughts.  PEACE |

well
we eventually recognized the need to go back to the drawing board on this one -
one of the things we wanted to be able to pull off was the ability to broadcast live on ustream -
we did manage to get this working, but there was a 2 second delay between anybody speaking which made it literally impossible to maintain a cohesive conversation
the other option we investigated was being able to record a skype discussion, but it seems that something like this requires a intricate sound card or at least another hardware device which is not currently in my possession
Sunny mentioned that he could tape the discussion to a physical device, and then re-input it into his computer - this is looking like a possible temporary solution if we cannot get this live broadcasting between multiple people in multiple places thing straightened out
as always - if anybody is able to help or would like to contribute, please let it be known

Recording the conversation from your computer isn't that hard. I have a program that can record any and all sound that comes from your computer. I can send it to any of you that need it. Or, once you get things worked out let me know where (ustream, skype, ect) and how (because I done know a thing about web broadcasting) and I can record it for us.
