I watched a great documentary over the weekend that i've been searching for for a while and it finally came out on megavideo. i'm attaching a link for it here for those interested in watching it.
to break it down real quick the premise of the film is the careful control of major corporations of the food system from the seed to the hands of the supermarket client.
it's not a secret that the food industry has been controlled and manipulated for a long time and this is how we ended up with genetically modified foods, hormone and anti-biotic fed meats and artificially ripened produce. the food industry is just another sector of the money making business and it is treated exactly as that.
this has a heavy influence on the quality of food that we eat. this film especially concentrates on the meat industry and how manipulative it is how farmers are tricked out of their money and those who rebel and try to speak out are forcefully silenced.
i think this one is worthy the hour and so of time. check it out when you get a minute and learn a bit more about the corporations running the food system in the United States.
