Hellsing:
Id give this vampire nonsense a 7/10. Lets start with the positive. Alucard. One of teh greatest anime/manga characters ever. Absolutely evil and doesn't give fuck about anything but serving his master and killing things.
Now for the bad. They butchered the plot. Nazi vampires in South America planning to take over the world. This is foolishness, but its FUN foolishness. The plot they replaced it with, involving some African vampire called Incognito is simply lame. His character is lame and there's no way he belonged in the series.
They also left out some of the better character including the entire millenium group, Rip Van Winkle, the odd cat or werewolf kid, the mercernary commander, the rest of Jude Iscariot, etc. Very lacking as far as series go.
Then theres the characters they butchered. Namely Alexander Anderson. In the manga he's a psychotic killing machine. He is in the anime as well, but they fail to portray his badassedness properly. He's far less coherent and the second time he's seen, he's downrioght incompetent. Lame. The other characters are simpy suitable.

What happened to the Dragon Ball Z and Dragon Ball series?
These series stared Goku, Vageta and company. A excellent cartoon to say the least.

DRAGON BALL Z morphed into DRAGON BALL GT (Grand Tour).
The Basic premise is that GOKU gets reverted back to a child again, ala his earlier DB days.
He, his "nephew" TRUNKS and his grand daughter PAN must travel the universe in search of the BLACK DRAGON BALLS, before the earth explodes.
You can get full synopses of the story here:

Painful to watch, but it did indeed define shonen.

I dont know what the writers were thinking when they came up with that GT, but to me its doesnt have the same flava as the earlier episodes. Just never got into the GT, but when the dragon ball origanl series was playin everyone was glued to the set.

Have any of you seen or heard this one: Karas: The Prophesy which is about: The worlds of humans and demons have overlapped since time immemorial, and a young woman named Yuri and her servant, the Karas ("The Crow"), have long maintained order and balance between the worlds. But humans have finally lost their fears of the denizens of darkness. Disgusted by human arrogance, the Karas turns his back on the laws he helped uphold for so long, taking the name Ekou and leading a group of mechanized demons in an attack against the human race. Meanwhile, a detective named Kure who works at the police division in charge of demon-related incidents opens a case involving a series of bizarre murders that look like the work of a water demon. Elsewhere, the demon Nue, who came to town to fight Ekou, spots a water demon disguised as a famous warrior... and then Yuri shows up with another Karas. This new guardian of the city is determined to stop Ekou's evil ambitions, but he has a fierce fight ahead of him. ---according to a review at sanity.com This seems like one of the best Jaanize aname's out there, in its depth and shit.
